Celia was born and bred in Nottinghill Gate, London. Her mother worked at the Hayward Gallery, so her childhood was spent immersed amongst the great creatives, Picasso to Renoir, Anish Kapoor to Richard Long, Hockney Stage sets to 1930’s interiors. She started her own company in the early 90”s creating bespoke mosaic commissions for both interiors and exteriors working with a variety of private clients, architects, interior designers and landscape designers; Collaborations included working with Tom Dixon and the BBC, British Broadcasting Company. She wrote several books including the Art of Mosaic. Her mosaic work included teaching as well as community and sculptural projects within schools and the public sector. Her love of nature and passion for the sea led her to set up the Marine Foundation www.themarinefoundation.org. A not for profit that explores a creative approach to the conservation of our seas. She pioneered the Living sculptures in the sea program with projects all over the world.
Celia lives in Aspen with her husband Rally and has been working with Studio B since 2014. Studio B’s ethos inspires her greatly and she is thrilled that her 25 years of experience within the creative industry supports the work of the interiors department.
